For the 6.2 EcoTec3 Engine with Dynamic Fuel Management, horsepower is 420 hp and torque is at 460 lb-ft with this model boasting a max towing capacity of 13,200 pounds.
For those desiring to skip the hitch and load up their bed, the 2024 Sierra has a payload capacity that can reach 2,240 pounds.
For the Sierra Heavy Duty Truck, built upon a supreme foundation, confident towing is a given. In essence, these vehicles are built for towing — and towing a lot! The Sierra Heavy Duty with 2500 Crew Cab max can tow unto 22,070 pounds, a maximum gooseneck/fifth-wheel raising of up to 22,430 pounds and a maximum payload of up to 4,178 pounds.
Those desiring the power of a 3500 Heavy Duty truck, the Sierra is presented with a maximum gooseneck/fifth-wheel rating of up to 36,000 pounds and a maximum payload of 7,290 pounds.
Built to tow, the Sierra Heavy Duty is presented with an available 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel which is paired with an all-new turbocharger and 10-speed Allison transmission. The Sierra HD offers 975 lb-ft of torque, more power than the previous model, with the 10-speed Allison transmission serving to enhance the trailering capability when paired with the Sierra’s HD’s standard gas engine.
