Heaven on Earth: Introducing the future of Overlanding!

The anticipation is over — with the first teaser last year of a GMC Hummer EV Pickup built for overlanding finally coming to fruition. The EarthCruiser has been officially re-vealed, and the news is exciting to say the least! Designed to take drivers off the beaten path for a zero-tailpipe emissions all-terrain experience, the EarthCruiser just this week made its public debut!

Here’s more!

The product is the result of a collaboration between EarthCruiser and the GMC team, with the result nothing short of incredible. Not only does it allow the Pickup to demonstrate zero-tailpipe emission possibilities for overland and recreational vehicle travelers, but is truly a comfortable and capable product, built to the highest caliber of excellence.

Intended for the Hummer EV Pickup and expected to be available for it in 2024, the Earth-Cruiser boasts a wide array of features that serve to provide the best in overland experiences. Those features include an integrated carbon fiber house, 605 watts of onboard solar power, along with a 12-volt battery for an estimated seven days of off-grid electricity. It also includes an insulated tail-layered pop-up roof; unique EarthCruiser interior appointment; a curated selection of appliances, showers, 120-volt and 12-volt outlets, storage solutions and a flat-pack toilet. There is even an RV full-size bed and seven-inch diagonal touchscreen control panel.

What else we know!

It is important to note that the EarthCruiser will not be covered under the GMC New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and also that GM is not responsible for independent-supplier alterations.

This EarthCruiser will result in a seamless blend of state-of-the-art technology, innovation and comfort, allowing drivers to explore both on and off road adventures.

It is expected that the GMC Hummer EV EarthCruiser will be available to Hummer EV Pickup owners from EarthCruiser in early 2024.

This EarthCruiser will bring forth streamlined aerodynamics and carbon fiber construction, allow-ing drivers to guide through any and all elements with no impact on vehicle range.

Limitations and weather constraints be gone! Thanks to an insulated triple-layered pop up roof, allowing drivers and passengers alike can explore no matter the season.

Who benefits?

For anyone who dreams to explore places beyond their wildest imaginations or beyond the norm, then this is your perfect fit. It gives drivers the ability to go streamside, mountainside, beach-side or in the snow, all while having access to a warm shower, a flush toilet and a cold beverage!

Sized for ease of handling both on and off road, the living compartment is engineered in such a way that it complements a cab-over style of chassis. The width of the house relative to the cab has been designed so that when traveling through such conditions as scrub or branches, they are easily deflected. Its widest elements are its side mirrors, which is also easy to monitor its di-mensions when squeezing through tight areas.

Built originally in Australia, an Earth Cruiser from the front of the bullbar to the back of the spare wheel carry is 21.9 feet.

“We are proud to work with GMC on the design and manufacturing of such an exceptional prod-uct,” EarthCruiser CEO and Founder Lance Gillies said in a statement. “It feels right, it feels like it belongs. Using our years of overlanding expertise, we have ensured nothing is out of place, unnecessary or wasted on this vehicle.”

“This collaboration with the GMC team has provided the perfect opportunity to demonstrate the zero-tailpipe emission possibilities for overland and recreational vehicle travelers. We have pro-duced a comfortable, capable product, built to a high caliber of excellence — one that our cus-tomers can take pride in.”

Engineered to conquer any and all terrains as a description of the Hummer EV Pickup has now gone to even greater levels with this collaboration with EarthCruise. Enjoy each and every excursion — especially those that take you off road in the most unique desti-nations. Overlanding has just got that much better — see what heaven on Earth is all about!
