Here’s more….

What it signifies!

There is much behind the meaning of AEV(American Expedition Vehicles). First, the branding refers to what is a considered a world-renowned premiere supplier of quality aftermarket parts and accessories for vehicles that are geared toward recreational driving and overland adventuring.

AEV stands on a solid reputation and has been built on a brand that is directly linked and synonymous with off-roading and overloading communities worldwide. With products that are built with advanced and innovative engineering, even the manufacturing processes behind them ensure high-quality components that serve to improve the vehicle’s look, functionality and drivability on highways and trails.

Its attachment to the GMC Canyon AT4X makes it truly the most advanced and capable Canyon — ever!

What it brings!

When it comes to capabilities, they run the gamut. From rugged underbody protection thanks to stamped boron steel plates to adventure-essential gear such as AEV 17-inch beadlock capable wheels with large 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, the next adventure will be your best one yet!

There are also three standard auxiliary control switches which enable the integration of available off-road and overloading accessories, and help to make customizing this new AEV Edition a breeze when it comes to meeting the needs of today’s adventure-seekers.

Tackling trails? The AEV has you covered! Do so with ease thanks to a 38.2-degree approach angle, a 26-degree departure angle and a 26.9-degree breakage angle, as well as 12.2 inches of ground clearance.

More on its features inside and out!

Stamped steel front and rear bumpers mark the exterior, with this Edition also presented with a set of five ultra-high strength, hot-stamped Boston steel skid plates, all of which are tougher than the aluminum ones of the AT4X. These plates serve to protect the AEV’s radiator, steering gear, transmission and transfer case, as well as the fuel tank and rear differential.

It comes with exclusive 17-inch Salta wheels that are beadlock-capable, rock rails to protect the rocker panels and a full-size spare tire mounted in the cargo bed.

Front fender openings have been enlarged to prevent the larger tires from rubbing, with the AEV also featuring wider fender flares.

Bumpers are also signature to the AVE, offering a high-clearance design that services to maximize approach angle and emcee protection. Integrated fog lights up front round out the exterior appeal, as do provisions for a winch, which will fit a ComeUpunit offered as a dealer-installed GM Accessory. A rear bumper boasts removable plastic caps with a replaceable 10 mm thick steel skid plate, as well as two heavy-duty, chassis-mounted recovery points.

Branded floor mats and cool embroidered headrests are just some of the features that mark the AEV Edition. Also inside, but similar to every model, is a digital gauge cluster and an 11.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as new Ultifi software that allows over-the-air updates.

Under hood, this new Edition carries the same engine as every AT4X, a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline four, which makes 310 hp and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. Standard is an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

The AEV Edition for the AT4X offers taller Goodyear Wrangler Territory Mud-Terrain tires than the regular AT4X and a 4.5-inch factory lift, standing 1.5 inches taller than the regular AT4X. With that, comes 12.2 inches of ground clearance. The truck’s AEV-specific front and rear steel bumpers enable a 38.2-degree approach angle and a 26.0-degree departure angle, with a breakover angle at 26.9 degrees. There are also optional Multimatic hydraulic bump stops, making the AEV taller and built to handle more rugged road conditions.

Taking off-roading to a whole new level, the GMC Canyon AT4X AEV EDITION for 2024 is the ideal choice to any and all adventure seekers. Capable, tough and carrying the initials that bring with it the reputation for world-renowned quality. With this elevated equipment, there is no terrain that can’t be covered! See what the Next Level is all about!
