2024 Buick Envision review

A gentle force!

When it comes to a smooth ride, attractive styling and a good price point, the Envision for 2024 surely fits the bill! While it is not the first choice for luxury seekers, it is still a wise choice, starting with its $35,000 price tag, affordable for many and suitable for a pleasant experience on the open road. A compact SUV with definite curb appeal and updates inside and out, the Envision boasts much, including a comfortable quiet cabin for starters and updated tech features. See what’s in store for 2024!

Here’s more…

Its power!

There is just one engine option when it comes to powering the Envision, a 228-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. That pairs nicely with a nine-speed automatic transmission, with front wheel drive coming as standard. There is an option, however, to experience all-wheel-drive on the vehicle’s three higher trim levels for a cost of $1,800, but speed demons still won’t be satiated!

When it comes to power and handling, it is solid although it is tough to compare the Envision to its rivals — the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3 — both of which are rooted in luxury. When tested on the track, the Envision jumped from 0-60 mph in an unimpressive 7.3 seconds, which does in fact suit many drivers. This vehicle is also presented with a suspension that is set up so as to maximize ride comfort for drivers and passengers alike and minimize driving engagement.

Overall, the engine results in good ride quality through and through!

A peek inside/out!

This is where things get interesting — with a touch of flair and a fresh face heading into 2024! There are upgrades planned for the Envision in 2024 both inside and out, including slim LED lighting elements, a revised grille and new tri-shield logo, all of which freshen the vehicle’s overall look. And, thanks to three trim levels, the Envision has the ability to compete with its rivals, adding some luxury throughout. There are plenty of standard features to be had with the Preferred and Essence models, with the high-level Avenir presented with key touches, such as quilted leather upholstery and heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a massaging driver’s seat, all of which speak to grandeur.

Like the models in generations before, the cabin of the Envision has similar cargo space, with the 2024 model, however, having slightly less than before. The newest model has the capacity for 21 carry-on suitcases with the rear seat folded flat.

Staying connected!

In this area, there is cause for excitement heading into 2024! That is because, while not yet confirmed, photos released have shown a new digital dashboard featuring a 30-inch OLED display similar to what was used within the Electra E5 SUV, slated to be introduced in 2025.

The Envision, with this fresh and new infotainment, is also expected be equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, as well as to provide a Wi-Fi hotspot, also as standard. Drivers and passengers alike will also enjoy SiriusXM satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo and active noise-cancellation system. Those opting for the Essence trim enjoy a seven-speaker stereo with options to upgrade to a nine-speaker Bose setup. There is also in-dash navigation, with both this and the nine speakers standard on the Avenir trim.

Among the key tech features also includes hands-free driving, labeled GM’s Super Cruise system, which is available as an option heading into 2024.

Safety first!

A number of driver-assistance features comes standard in the Envision, with more advanced features presented as optional. That includes GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system. Important features to note that speak to safety are: standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection; standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist; and available adaptive cruise control with a hands-free driving mode.

Also, on the high-level Avenir trim, safety is realized in an awesome rear view camera that can also be switched to a traditional mirror. In addition, this trim level features four different driving modes including tour, all wheel drive, sport and off road.

More information about the Envision’s crash-test results can be found on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or NHTSA website as well as that of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

In the area of warranty, Buick stands above, with a standard warranty package that offers more generous powertrain coverage than the Envision’s main rivals. Available is a Limited warranty which covers four years or 50,000 miles; a powertrain warranty which covers six years or 70,000 miles and complimentary scheduled maintenance is covered for the first visit.

One of Buick’s newer models, the Envision surely delivers. Considered a perfect size SUV, not too big and not too small, the Envision is presented both fresh and new heading into 2024. A gentle force rooted in comfort and quality — reserve yours today!
