What’s new?

In terms of styling, the GMC for 2023 receives a refresh of sorts, including a revised grille and front bumper, new LED headlamps and tail lamps, and fresh and sleek 18- and 19-inch wheel designs. This is craftsmanship at its finest! There is also updated upholstery and in the area of technology, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.

This vehicle’s solo engine choice is the turbo 1.5-liter.

 

A look deeper!

Power— The Terrain comes standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a nine-speed automatic and either front- or all-wheel-drive. Although tests are not yet confirmed, it is estimated this vehicle will reach 60 mph in just 8.9 seconds.

Outside — Making the most of every edge and accent, this Terrain is suited for any and all drivers and is presented with LED headlamps and tail lamp featuring GMC’s signature C-shape design, hands-free Programmable Power Lift gate with LED Logo projection and a distinctive grille. Other eye-catching details include available 19-inch machined aluminum wheels with gray painted accents, new Elevation Edition 19-inch gloss-black painted aluminum wheels for certain trim levels, and more! Rounding out exterior features includes black center caps with red GMC lettering, a darkened front grille, black roof side rails, black exterior accents and mirror caps and black exterior badging.

Inside — Inside, the Terrain is spacious and comfortable, offering ample cargo space that can accommodate loads of various sizes. That is all thanks to a standard 60/40 split-folding rear seat as well as an available fold-flat front seat. This cargo space is considered competitive with other models. Inside, there is also real Burnished aluminum trim on certain trims, a heated steering wheel (on some select trims) and available heated front seats and a SkyScape sunroof. Overall, the driver and passenger alike will enjoy a comfortable ride, thanks to effortless steering and great dynamics.

Tech savvy — Where the all-new Terrain excels is in this area, with its Infotainment System feeding off of clear graphics, logical menus and the latest in-car connectivity features. That includes Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot. On the top trim Denali, an in-dash navigation system is standard. There is also Alexa Built-In available to be able to stream your favorite music, get directions, make calls and much more!

Safety first — A variety of driver-assistance features makes for a safe drive rooted in confidence, with features that help you stay connected, informed and very well aware while on the open road! The GMC Pro Safety package boasts a number of features, while the Terrain Pro Safety Plus is available on certain trim levels. Among key safety features are: Standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection; standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist and available adaptive cruise control. There is also side blind zone alert and rear cross traffic alert as well as rear park assist, plus much more!

The GMC Terrain is presented in 2023 with four trim levels, including  the SLE, SLT, AT4 and Denali. Each has key features that make them stand out on their own

The SLE — starting at $29,900 and with seating up to five, the key features of this trim level include the 1.5L Turbocharged Engine, Traction Select System, GMC Pro Safety and Available Terrain Pro Safety Plus.

The AT4 — starting at $36,000, this vehicle includes the 1.5L Turbocharged Engine, AT4-Exclusive Goodyear Sport Terrain Tires, Traction Select System with Off-Road Mode, Front Steel Skid Plate and Available Terrain Pro Safety Plus.

The Denali — In addition to the 1.5L Turbocharged Engine, the Denali, starting at $38,600, comes with standard All-Wheel-Drive, 8-inch Diagonal GMC Infotainment System with Navigation, 19-inch Ultra-Bright Machined Aluminum Wheels with Premium Gray Painted Accents and GMC Pro Safety Plus.

The SLT — Starting at $33,900, this vehicle has as key features the 1.5L Turbocharged Engine, Hands-free Programmable Power Lift-gate with LED Logo Projection, Available Head-Up Display and Available Terrain Pro Safety Plus.

Trim interior features on the SLE and SLT include Fold-Flat Front-Passenger Seat, Real Aluminum Trim, Standard Heated Steering Wheel, Available Heated Front Seats and Available SkyScape Sunroof.

The Terrain’s front-wheel-drive yields up to 25 mph in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, according to EPA estimates. All-wheel drive drops the highway estimate to 28 mpg.

The GMC Terrain readily matches those of most of the line-up’s class competitors in the area of driver protection, with a limited warranty covering three years or 36,000 miles; and a powertrain warranty covering five years or 60,000 miles.
