Confidence builder
While the Yukon has always been recognized for its commanding presence on the road, this all-new 2021 model takes that feeling to a whole new level! In fact, everything you love has been taken to staggering new heights, resulting in an SUV that delivers the refinement you have come to expect coupled with genuine capability on every level. Confidence comes in the form of a taller stance and higher hood line, bringing forth a strong look and one that is pure power. This appearance if further accentuated and exemplified with a redesigned sculpted hood and new grille that is situated between updated signature C-shaped LED lighting elements. This sophisticated roofline is designed so the eye is directed to the back of the vehicle for an overall sense of pure motion. Movement is further brought forth with chrome molding across the entire vehicle.

Exterior/interior boost
The 2021 Yukon features a bold exterior design and proud stature. Its head-turning style is rich with modern amenities and an extremely high level of ride comfort. Top-of-the-line embellishments are found in the cabin, including chrome accents that line the buttons and controls, as well as a Denali-Exclusive instrument panel that is punctuated with chrome accents. The vehicle’s first and second row perforated leather-appointed seats feature a unique and eye-catching Fractal stitching. Another highlight is the Denali logo which is displayed in key areas like the front seats, as well as the bright door sill plates and in chrome in the center of the steering wheel. The placement is tasteful, purposeful and pure class!

It is a system that automatically adjusts the stiffness of the suspension through variable-rate air springs, resulting in a more comfortable ride regardless if the vehicle is lightly or heavily loaded. This feature also allows driver the opportunity to either raise or lower their Yukon up to two inches from its normal height, which speaks to even more convenience. This system complements Yukon Denali’s Magnetic Ride Control, which reads the road surface and then adjusts the suspension and damper settings in real time to give an exceptionally smooth ride.

Tech savvy
Advanced technologies are made clear in the 2021 Yukon. They are forward-thinking and segment-first technologies that speak to modern conveniences while helping both driver and passengers stay connected at all times. The features start with a class-leading 10.2-inch diagonal touch screen with GMC Premium Infotainment System and available Navigation that includes wireless projection for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Thanks to wireless projection, a USB cord is not even needed and the driver can easily access certain functions and select apps from their Smart phone. There is also available a class-leading 15-inch diagonal multicolor Head-Up Display, which helps drivers keep their eyes on the road, while key information is projected on the windshield such as imbedded navigation, music, speed and more. Impressively, not just the driver and passenger benefit from these technologies. Yukon presents the most advanced rear seat media system with two available best-in-class high resolution 12.6-inch LCD touch screens. These screens can be found mounted in the back of the front seats, and bring forth touch capability, screen sharing and tilting for the best visibility.

Safety first
Key safety features top the new Yukon’s list of attributes, with available class-leading nine camera views that assist with hassles that are sure to develop on the road as well as all types of driving situations, from towing a boat or maneuvering in parking lots. Some of the views include rear side view, hitch view, front top-down view and more. There are also available several standard driver-alert and active safety technologies, including the new GMC Pro Safety Plus package that is available on the Yukon SLE and standard for SLT, AT4 and Denali. Power packed
Standard for the Yukon trims including SLE, SLT and AT4 is the 5.3L EcoTec V8 engine, which delivers 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. The standard powertrain for the Yukon Denali is the 6.2L EcoTec V8 engine, providing a best-in-class 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. In addition to these new powertrains is the available Active Response 4WD System, which adds even more to the driver’s confidence. It works by levering electronic limited slip differential technology to help continually monitor input from the vehicle before automatically and seamlessly sending the optimal level of torque to the wheel with the most traction.

By comparison
Compared to the previous model, the 2021 Yukon’s wheelbase has grown to 4.9 inches, and overall length expands to 6.1 inches. That provides an extra 10.1 inches of extra legroom in the rear, for a total of 34.9 inches, as well as an extra 28.2 cubic feet, or 122.9 cubic feet total, of maximum cargo room. That figure gets even better, believe it or not, with the optional XL model.
The XL extends its overall footprint by 0.9 inches and its wheelbase by 4.1 inches. This offers an extra 2.2 inches of legroom in the third row, or 36.7 inches total, and am impressive 23 cubic feet of extra cargo room, 144.7 cub feet total.
